Parks and children in Barcelona

Travelling with children must not be a deterrent nowadays, especially when travelling to such a family friendly city as Barcelona. This city in the north east of Spain is well known for its art, its proximity to the sea and in general the amount of entertainment and tourist offer. However, let’s not forget that Barcelona is mainly a city where people live and work. As such, the city is also well set to cater for those little ones in the family.

Let’s start by the most important part, which is finding a place to stay. Although big and popular Barcelona doesn’t have to be expensive, you can find many cheap hotels in Barcelona as well as free or cheap entertainment for the whole family.

There are very many parks and playgrounds in Barcelona, where you will see whole families, from the little ones to the grandparents, all sharing the same space.

However, if you want to enjoy nature and also the beauty of the local art, Park  Guell is your best bet. Just get off at Metro station Lesseps on the green line, and follow the signs to the park.

Another free and interesting thing to do is going up Montjuic and from there enjoy the views of the city. It´s a great area full of entertainment, but if you just want to walk around and take in the views, that’s fine as well.

So, don’t forget to check your cheap hotels in Barcelona.
